Next Saturday, the 29th of September, the director of the archaeological excavations of the Cova de les Bruixes (cave of the Witches) (Poble Nou de Benitatxell), Miquel Sànchez, will go on a guided visit to the excavations. The route will begin at 6 pm at the Benitatxell Municipal Market, walking on foot about 2 kilometers to the site.
You can also go by car to the site, where there are parking spaces. The Cova de les Bruixes is an archaeological site with extensive human occupation that the Iberian late period (II-I century BC) and continued during the Roman period (I-V century BC), but which is especially important during the Andalusian period (11th-13th centuries), with a later occupation, already in feudal times, from the 14th and 15th centuries.
